Bodie is a ghost town up on the Sierra Nevada, California.
During the gold and silver rush in the 19th century the city had around 10.000 inhabitants and 2.000 buildings.
The town started to decline in 1890 and officially became a ghost town in 1915.
Today Bodie is maintained in a so called "arrested decay" status.
