Ghost town - Bodie
Bodie is a ghost town up on the Sierra Nevada, California.
During the gold and silver rush in the 19th century the city had around 10.000 inhabitants and 2.000 buildings.
The town started to decline in 1890 and officially became a ghost town in 1915.
Today it's mantained in a so called "arrested decay" status.
Bodie is a popular tourist destination for those interested in the Wild West. The town is well-preserved, and it offers a glimpse into the past. Visitors can explore the town's deserted streets, abandoned buildings, and mining operations.
